Mach 460 Ipod Help!

2946 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  MustDangRider
Ok so i have looked all over the internet but have not been able to find a solution to my situation. I have read forum after forum and have found solutions for the mach head units with the six disc cd changer but i have the one which contains a cassette player and has the seperate cd player. My problem is i already have tried the wireless fm and the plug in cassetes which allow you to use your ipod's and mp3 players but they both are very faulty and cause lots of static. Im lookin for a way to directly wire it in to where i can cut that out? But im starting to wonder if thats even possible lol. Any help?

what i would do is find a wireing diagram and since you have the casset player (assuming you dont use it) i would fine you a phono jack (head phone jack) and hard wire it in where the caste player sends its audio out then when you select tape or however it is it works then you will be able to use your Ipod... thats my simple fix instead of paying someone to do it... maybe someone will be able to tell you something esier and maybe more managable... we did this with my co workers F150 when we installed his subs and it worked just fine

or just go aftermarket you can get a cheap sony deck for like 80 bucks with the ipod/ aux input jack right on it
Alpine iDA-X200, all digital radio with only IPOD inputs. Works great if all you ever listen to is the IPOD, and I picked mine up for $150 on sale at Best Buy. The IPOD stays in the glove box, and I can control it from the headunit.
Two options.

1.) Crutchfield.com had a adapter, it'll hook into the back of your radio(stock) and let you plug in an AUX.

2.)ALPINE CDA-105, just installed it 2 wks ago. YOu plug in your Ipod and control it from the head unit. Its the sickest h.u Ive ever bought or installed. Great bass too, easy to install. I highly recommend it. Crutchfield had an open box special, I paid $240 FOR THE h.U & OVERNIGHT SHIPPING.

Heres some pics I jst took of it, Its real cool. you can change the blue buttons to red also. The kit includes a piece to replace the CD changer but I havent gotten around to installing it, it holds discs.
