Magnum... better spelled magNUMB

Little disclaimer... I've said many times of now stopping street racing, and for 99.876% of the time i do for sure, because tickets suck and $13 at ATCO rocks much better! If they ask for it though; I'll think twice, but take the chance rarely. But that night had to be a showdown. To the story!! I'm driving down the parkway going home. Listening to some pumped music (Haste The Day fyi) and so I'm a little amped at the moment. Cruising about 75. A Magnum pulls up next to me on my left. I have no problem in passing. So I was totally cool. But he didn't want to pass... he wanted to show how cool his new 05 (yes, yellow paper tag in the window still) was. I noticed it was an SXT and just checked; it doesn't have the HEMI (i wish SO BADLY it did!). Not sure if you can option in the HEMI or not. Someone might know. So I edged up a hair, not even TOUCHING the gas. Cruising in 5th now. It has no pull (to me atleast) and he jumps forward. Then looks over at me smiling. My windows were down, but his were up. So he could clearly see as I returned the smile, and gently pulled it out of 5th and put it into 3rd. This guy had to wonder what just hit him because at 75 my car pulled like I was in first all over again and boy did I ride it out. It looked INCREDIBLE!! I was GONE! He was getting on it too (for sure), but taillights was all he could see... About 5-7 cars atleast. Going up a bridge, mind you. Took it to 110 then shut off... typical ricer fly by.. whatever. I didn't care. I got to the toll both and saw him slowing down for it. He looked over at me and I just smiled as I paid and drove quietly away up to the 45 mph speed limit for the next town. Lemme tell ya; for the mods I have, this puppy roars when it needs to and I can't wait till I have some power adder and a new engine. YES!! In time, in time... it will be worth it though. :handball:

My old 95GTS had very similar mods to yours. Main difference was GT-40Y heads and a Steeda #19 cam. With 8-9lbs of boost from a BD-11A Powerdyne it made 400rwhp/380rwtq SAE. With the Powerdyne XB-1a and 9-11lbs of boost, it made up to 470rwhp/420rwtq SAE. The car was light and was F-A-S-T. Unfortunetly I had some serious tuning issues with it and decided to get rid of it after 8 years of owning it. A mistake on my part and I regret it. I would buy it back if I could. In the end, your car is going to fly.
I'm still waiting for my moment to say "does that thing have a hemi" and dust em. Im hoping for the dodge truck guys, they don't seem to understand the whole horsepower to weight thing :shrug just that the marketing people say it has a hemi..
