maintenance of ford factory stripe?

I don't have the Ford factory stripes, but I'm sure they are pretty much the same vinyl. My instructions say only to hand wash.

I don't know what I will do this winter as I like to go to a godd car wash to get the underside washed.

Has anybody with stripes gone thru a car wash?

I have went through a car wash twice with my stripes and have seen no damage. I used it as a test, because I live in Michgan and too will need to go back for the undercarraige.

No problems washing or waxing it. I waxed my car the other day and I waxed the stripe with the rest of the car and it came up beautiful. The Ford dealer said you could wax it without taking the color off.

Good news. Do your stripes go from bumper to bumper?
