Hi Guys,
Does anyone have the tightening pattern and torque amount for the exhaust manifold bolts on a 66 200ci inline?
My shop manual hasn't arrived yet and I need to get this done without cracking it

Inside outward switching back and forth is what was suggested on my headers for my 289. Hope that helps you.

From the center towards the ends is pretty much how all of those things are done.

The '66 shop manual doesn't say much on the subject for either the 6's or 289, just: "Working from the center to the ends, torque the bolts to specifications." Another page gives the torque as 13-18 ft-lbs.

If its a 390 there is a different torque, 12-18 ft-lbs - why bother to mention a difference?
