i have a 87 4 banger converted 5.0 and the mass airflow sensor is there but no connector whats the purpose of this and do i really need it also if i need the connector dose anyone have any ideas to help me eith this problem.
If there's no connector, then it's a speed density computer in there. If you want to run mass air, then yeah it needs the connector. If you want to run speed density, then no you don't and you don't need the mass air meter either. But if the engine is or will be modified, then you need the mass air which means you need to swap the computer and harness to mass air.
