I have had the car for 7 months. I also lost my job just after buying it.
I have been doing what I can with what I have but am not able to do any more.
It was another guys project and I have about $500 in parts put into it.
Right now it doesn't run, needs coil, plugs, cap and wires. There are other things that need to be done.
I have many photos in a flickr link and would really appreciate any valuable input.

Hello. :) I'm sorry to hear that. :sosad: Your car is actually a lot better than it might appear at glance. Since you were just asking about points and condensor, I'm assuming that this is a running, driving car that just isn't quite up to speed on prettiness. Out of curiosity, does your gas cap not have the retainer cable like the one in this picture? If yes, you might be surprised what that could do on ebay. That is also a very early car that you have. Your car would have come with a hood that is different from what is considered to be a '64 1/2 Hood'. Also not an easy part to find, and someone would be willing to pay a little bit for one of those. If it was me, I would sell whatever hard to find 64 1/2 stuff I had as parts and then sell the car as a project with some repop stuff replacing what I had sold, because the car probably won't bring more than a couple of grand as a car, and not having the expensive stuff won't really change that any. :)

It was a running and driving car. I drove it 80 miles from Colorado Springs to Denver with no isuues.
The cap does have the cable. The passenger seat is adjustable. The brake master cylinder does not have the brake light switch on it. Also, there is not an extra tab of metal coming off the fender near the firewall. Looks like one of the previous drill the door handles to take a screw, allen head screws.
Gotta get more than a couple grand for it. Paid 3100.00 and put another 500.00 - 600.00 in parts.
Thank you for replying Veronica!

It does appear that as lot of things were originally for the 64 1/2 but it also looks like some things were changed over the years. For one, it's a U code and the VIN is EARLY as Veronica says. The brake switch wires appear to have been cut to go into the cabin instead of the MC, and the shifter bezel appears to be the later style. The seat belts, gen, horns fresh air 'A' cable all indicate 64 1/2. The front end sheet metal looks to have been replaced along the way. Sad that you need to let it go, Veronica approach to selling whatever 64 1/2 unique bits remain might be the best way to minimize your losses.
