we`re gonna need some bank babe car pics with the mach( or without :hihi
Mustangs do make great conversation starters, especially yours Erik. It is always nice to meet up with people with simular passions for vehicles. BTW the gal at the bank sounds loke a keeper. Maybe you ought to let her know that your car would like to meet her car!Yesterday, when I went to the bank, as I pulled in, I guy with a very nice looking black Mustang coupe pulled in too. Of course, I just had to start up a conversation with him.
I instantly noticed his 20" wheels with very low profile tires....they made my tires on my stang look like drag radials. The guy then showed off a few of his mods....he just about completely re-did the entire interior. He put in two tone leather interior (tan/black), he replaced the tan carpeting with black, changed out both the head liner and door panel inserts with black faux suede and added chrome accents every where. Overall, it looked pretty good.
On the outside he had very little mods. The owner was a bit surprised I caught the body colored mirror covers instantly. He said few people notice them. While talking to him I did notice that although he had "GT" fender emblems (and a "GT" fake gas cap in the rear), his rocker panels were flat black while the rest of the car was gloss black, and that although he had dual exhausts in the rear, he did not have the lip on the rear bumper that a GT wold have. His front nose had a billet grill, so no fog lights, but clearly was not a GT front nose.
Well, I did not say anything becasue after all, a Mustang is a Mustang and this guy was rather proud of his overall nice looking stang. Heck he loves his stang so much, he might be able to give 5twenty a run for his money on mileage. It was a 2005 with 143,000 miles on the car. He was rather shocked that my car only has a mere 3972 miles on it. I think his exact comment was..."nice ride but you are not driving her enough to truly enjoy the Mustang experience." He is probably right.
I always find it amusing to meet other stangers while out and about. It was like the time I took my car for an oil change and ran into another stanger. Always good fun. Ironically, I do not know many folks locally that have Mustangs, so it is always a thrill to meet folks who do.
Oh yeay, at the bank, the girl at the bank who helped me out, rapidily moved up the sexy chart. First, she is attractive and very classy. Second she not only has a job, but she is the branch manager. Thirdly, she is the proud owner of a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 that she restored herself. Yep....she just moved up the sexy chart by several notches!![]()
I always find that sort of thing funny, especially since I'm seriously considering buying v6 fenders so I can have no badges...I wonder if people will think I tricked out a v6.While talking to him I did notice that although he had "GT" fender emblems (and a "GT" fake gas cap in the rear)...
