Mod list for "The GT Smoker", my 2000 Mustang V6 performance build

This whole build started because of one GT owners' a**h*le comments, followed by my friends relentless desire to publicly humiliate self-centered, arrogant d*uche b*gs, followed by more GT owners' supid a** comments about my mom, followed by my self-esteem destroying and always witty comments, followed by GT owner punching my friend, followed by me laying GT owner out and 1 of his friends, followed by 2 min of fighting ALL BECAUSE GT OWNER WAS A *****, A LITTLE ***** AND HIS 2 DEEP POSSE OF METRO SEXUAL HIPSTERS SUPPORTING HIS A**H*LE COMMENTS about how his GT was sooooo much better and faster than my friend's 3.8L. So after we made sure that the "metro-bro's" no longer had perfect facial structures (1 of them had a nose job done a year before this I found out), we decided to build up his 2000 v6 so it could beat GT's. I bought in half ownership and we decided that we must keep it N/A so that no one could argue that we used "cheater" mods. Also, it still had to be a daily driver. Here's the mod list (I left out a few dozen minor modifications like relocating some components, removing dead weight etc).

Wish i could of been there for that sounded like some fun
Those are pretty good numbers. That puts you above mostnew GTsat the wheels.

Questions though, why are you only running your fuel pump at 6psi, is that a misprint?

Also, your chip... is it a mail order for your mods? I would highly suggest looking into a tru custom tune. You may be leaving as much as 20hp to the wheels in the tune with that in depth of a custom set up.

Ha! I meant to say 65psi**. I have both a full on custom tune and the Diablosport chip installed. I'll explain. Once I got the full custom tune done, I installed the chip so that I could make adjustments depending on the octane rating of the fuel I happened to be using. The chips has a switch with 3 settings you can change "on the fly". Setting 1 is for 87, 2 is for 89 and 3 is for 91. I tuned the car with the Diablosport Predator and the people at DS said that the DeltaChip is the perfect thing to pair with it. I run the car with 89 octane most of the time and I keep the chip on its respective setting and it's absolutely perfect and ultra easy to tell if you're setting is incorrect because of the wrong fuel type. For example, I had 89 in the tank and on the freeway I flipped over to setting 1 and after about 10 seconds, it just felt a little bit off "fuel air mix and timing". Flipped up to the 91 setting, ran lean because it was expecting a higher combustion rate, as soon as I put it back to the 89 setting it was instant perfection. The best part was, I was doing all this at 70mph!!! I highly recommend both of those products, hands down.

That is pretty impressive. Do you have a dyno sheet though? The current record for a V6 N/A is 265ish rwhp. So you could now be the current record holder.

I don't know how comfortable of a daily driver that would be either. Nice job though sounds like it would be an expensive build.

Yeah we got before and after build dyno runs and had them put on top of each other. My friend (the other owner) has the dyno sheets locked in his office and he's out of town until Wednesday. So I'll be able to post them up Wednesday night. As far as the current record, who sponsors the record, AFM or Ford or what? You know what, as far as comfort, it's actually pretty damn good and there's not an overabundance of engine/road noise in the cabin. We pulled out the ENTIRE interior all the way down to the metal and put a coat of "rubberized undercoating" on every square inch of the interior panels. This was the last thing we did so we could try to figure out how much noise was insulated, and to our surprise, A TON!! Don't get me wrong, tearing out the dash, seats, console, carpet, headliner, door panels and interior plastic body panels is NO PICNIC, but I do have to say it was worth it. Last month we were able to pick up a set of Bride suspension seats for the front and that helped reduce the level of body vibration caused by the solid motor mounts, fully connected custom subframe etc.

I didn't know diablo made a chip... that you could switch on the 'fly'... thought that was an SCT deal?

Oh wait I think this is complete BULL ****.

I also noticed most of these " v6 " mods are out of your signature for your 83 5.0....

venom injectors - schnider roller cams (we only have 1 cam ) - JET UDP (they don't make those for the 3.8L btw) and I can go on if you like....:scratchchin

Sorry to have to be the one to bring the bad news but diablo sport DOES make a chip, actually they make a few! :bigthumbsup I guess SCT isn't that cool anymore. Allow me to enlighten you;

Right, but you said setting 1 - 2 - and 3....

That chip allows for 2 settings and stock. Not to mention you didn't answer the fact that most of the mods you listen aren't made for the 99-04 v6.

Oh, my bad. I guess I'll have to wait on an explanation because I can't find my box of crayons to draw it for you. There are a few mistakes in the parts listings because I use a folder full of receipts to compile it and some things from 2 other mustangs I have were mixed in. Well actually I probably don't own the other cars because I didn't list them in my vehicle descriptions. Wait a second, you must be the guy or friend of the guy with the insecure meat head personality that owned the GT... Am I right? PLUS, WE CUSTOM FABRICATED quite a few of the mounts, brackets and subframe. Um, only 1 camshaft? Schneider racing cams HAS THEIR SHOP IN SAN DIEGO, 10 MILES FROM MY HOUSE and you wouldn't believe what it is they do. They build CUSTOM CAMSHAFTS. By the way, we dont have a 3.8 with 3.8 parts, like I CLEARLY stated, it is a 4.2 STROKER.

No...
I own a v6. If you went through the trouble of searching the specs on ssms's s3 heads at least you could have made up a better mod list.

Btw SSMS's green fox fully built on 10:1 compression doesn't even make 280rwhp. Guess their doing something wrong, whats your secret?

Pop quiz: What do you think a 4.2L stroker is? Still uses all 3.8 heads/intakes/rockers/etc/etc.

All of the engine parts were machined by my friend (the original owner). We run 10.5:1 compression. Half the stuff you said was false, if you wanted me to get ultra detailed, you could have just asked. Believe it or not slick, I own 50% interest in a 281rwhp V6 Mustang. I'm guessing you're pretty decent at looking "factual" info up on the net, so I'll give you a few days to track down which Mustang club in California me and my V6 are members of. There's pictures, stats, the whole works and you'll know you've found the right one when you see a pic of the passenger side with me facing away from the camera tossing keys to my business partner. Oh yeah, you said earlier that you own a V6 and I was wondering at what PSI do you run your Ego?

Let's not have this thread deteriorate any further. I'll be keeping an eye on it. Thanks.

I've noticed... You still haven't answered any of the questions. So hit up the ultra details. Or maybe a dyno sheet? Some proof? :bigthumbsup Anyway I don't have to look up anything... But why is it taking you so long to google a dyno sheet?? Oh and sine your friend "machined" the engine parts does that mean he p&p the heads??

.... Thanks again:gringreen

I've been watching this thread and it's pretty interesting:scratchchin I think I'll just sit back and watch:popcorn:

For those of us who are too lazy to try and find this...could we get a link please. :D

Agreed, I'm throwing up the BS flag on this one.

Post the dyno sheet. Until then, I'm going to say that those mods won't get you to that much power N/A. Not even close, it'd take a lot more. There's only one guy that's going to get close/break it, and that's Derrick (Hiposilver on other sites) and he has to build custom intakes to do it. There's absolutely no way you go that much power out of your car.
