Mod update, another dilemma (albeit an easy one)

Called the performance shop and my GT is off the lift.....the GTAs are on, the C&L is on and I am almost ready for liftoff....except...

I have ordered the 93 torque tune from BamaChips but the email might not go to the performance shop until tomorrow, although the SCT 93 tune could be loaded for now.

But here is the real dilemma....MrV will love this one....

I'm dying to see how this all looks and feels so I am tempted to pick the car up after work today. HOWEVER...it is supposed to rain tonight and if I pick it up tomorrow my GT will be garaged and away from the oncoming inclement weather.....lol.

Do I let my car get a free night of garage parking ? Or do I say what the hell, pick up my car, and then feel the wrath of MrV for letting a pampered pet be driven in the inclement weather ? LOL.

All opinions are welcomed ;)

Just leave it there and let them finish the work.

Well now BamaChips tells me that the tune file will be emailed to the performance shop today....

I don't think I can wait.....lol

I know I wouldn't be able to. I always install things immediately after the FedEx or UPS truck leaves.

Usually I get all the work done that is possible beforehand. Then I sit there, looking out the window and generally freak out for a couple hours until it arrives.:nogrinner

+1. Plus, a drive in inclimate weather is never too fun.
Drive it! Who cares about the weather. :)

I say the same as STL!:bigthumbsup
The day (last Monday I think?) I received my tuner from Doug it was pouring outside. Afterwards, I went out to the garage and uploaded my tune. It was still wet outside and I didn't want to get mud on my my Mustang...

but I'll be damned if I was going to wait another day before driving my car around so I ripped and roared all up and down the highway splashing all sorts of water on the sides of my 'stang :happyhapp

Still burning through my 87 octane tank so I can't comment on the 93 octane tune but I will say throttle response is GREATLY improved. No noticeable different in HP or torque though... on the 87 octane tune and I don't expect one either really. Car rides a bit smoother too though.

Anyway, doesn't it rain about 340 days in upstate NY? :hihi: I was stationed at Griffiss AFB in the 80s. :)
