i got off work the other day and went to start my car, and it just turned over and over, well when i checked under the hood, the spark plug wiring was like burnt in half. so i towed it home, and changed all the plugs and wires. so now it turns over, fires, then continues to turn, it wont start all the way, had some people tell me its either jumped timing or the coil packs or whatever need to be replaced. any help would be nice as this car is my daily driver

What year car? I assume from post it is a 8 spark plug engine. If so I think you mention does have spark. Need to run codes. Also can check timing. Just take timing cover off and rotate crank and check it. Here is link that can explain it better than I can. If belt if off timing buy another and install. The 2.3 is a non interfence engine so no worry about valve damage from timing jumping. Maurice
