yep, it will bolt in, if your shortblock is in good shape you can just do the heads and intake, it's known at the PI swap...parts readily available on Ebay
Will need to drill hole in the PI intake on the passengerside you will see when you compare them the 98(NPI) motor will have two coolant temp sensors at the front of the intake the 03(PI) motor will only have one on the driverside.
