msd problems !!!

i've been having some strange problems with my car , i'm in low throttle it runs fine, when i step on it , it's starts backfiring and poping really bad and car doesn't seem to run as it did, i umplugged the msd box and it's not doing it so bad now it's barely poping and it feels like the car is running on 6 or 8 cilinders, what else can i check, timing i good, and plugs are new, wires aren't that good but i don't think thats the problem , ehat do u guys think?? thanks

what about the chip in the msd box. Like the rev limiter are you sure you dont have one set really low in?? I Know one time my dad played a joke on me when i took our 63 galaxie for a drive its pushing 475 hp and 512 ft lbs of torque and its fun to step on that gas pedal and when i did it acted the same way. Dont know if this help.

could be something in the distributor.....

also check all your vacuum lines & plug wires.....

bad plug wires will cause the problem you are describing.....
It's most likely distributor related. Check the output coming from the distributor.
i'll check the wires and vacum lines, i kind off feels like a injector is taking a krap or something cause somethimes when i shut my car off it won't start back up unless i let it sit for a while or i pump the **** out of the pedal like a carbed car, somebody told me a injector might be sticking open or something like that , and by the way the msd box has no chip it's a 6a , and how could i check the output on the distribuitor:headscratch: thanks for the advice
