Welcome to AFM......

Have you checked the gear lube to see if it is up to proper level.
My thoughts exactly. Pull the fill plug, top off with recommended fluid and try again.
Where to locate the gear lube ??

I couldnt find the gear Lube ? Where can i locate it ?

Are you wanting gear lube or trans fluid? I posted where to find gear lube. Trans fluid is something else. What year is your Cobra? If you have the owner's manual you should be able to tell what trans fluid it uses.
OOPS. 2001 Cobra. I don't know what fluid they use. Check your manual. It may use gear oil but then again it may use Dextron. Don't want to get the wrong stuff. Check with Ford if you don't have the manual.
01's use ATF NOT gear lube, there hasn't been a Mustang tranny since 1982 that uses that stuff..
gm synco mesh is the stuff tremec says to use
That's with the T-56, a good conventional ATF is fine for the
T-45 and 3650..
It could be your clutch is getting hot...also do you have an aftermarket shifter? If not, they help immensely...get a Pro 5.0
tremec tech line and every race/ fab car shop next to my shop

synco mesh in all t5,t45,t56, tko500 ,tko 600

My 98 cobra does the same thing but only 1st gear/reverse and only when hot
