You have $40,000 to splurge on a sporty car but you want something from FoMoCo, what do you do?
Well you could go for the torquey, tail-happy Mustang GT complete with all-american V8 power, or you could take the swift and razor sharp Ford Focus RS with it's slick twin-clutch AWD system.
Both are brilliant choices, but the indecision is understandable. Luckily Top Gear has been wrestling with the same automotive angst and decided to do something about it, pitting the two fast Fords against one another in a good old fashioned drag race.
Before you shout stupid at your computer screen there's something you need to understand: The RS runs 0-60 mph quicker than the Mustang, but 0-100 is nearly identical, likewise for the quarter mile hustle...
