Has anyones automatic Mustang bucked on them while driving, example your going down the highway, anywhere from 60-100, and you kick it down, does your car buck, like the engine shuts down, mine has done this repeatedly, I take it to the dealer and they of course couldnt duplicate the problem. When I went to Tennesee in July, it did it constantly, I thought it might have been due to the heat, having the air on, maybe different gas.
It seemed like it was a heat issue because that is when it would happen the most, so when it cooled down it hadnt happend for a while and then the other day going to work, I go to pass a car and I put it to the floor and buck, buck, buck, I let up it goes away.
Getting alittle mad now!!!!

having the same prob with my 98 gt, i tried plug wires fuel filter pcv valve, spark plugs. then it stopped for a day, then it started again, so i took it to the dealer for a diag, they say oh we need to replace wires, when i just bought wires; ford racing wires no less. i told them screw you and paid them 100$ for the diag and left. diag said it found a foeled plug (misfire) on cylinder 3, so i left the dealership and it ran great for like a month, then just the other day its doing the same crap!!!!
I've had the same problem with my GT. I floor it and it seems to hesitate and then takes off. It does not do it all the time. I haven't talked to the dealer yet about it, I was hoping someone else had the problem and knew what the fix is.

happens with mine too...every once in a blue moon it'll hesitate when i floor it...i thought that was normal because its only when i straight out push the pedal to the floor...but most of you mentioned that changing the plugs and wires fixed it for awhile...then it starts again...that leads me to believe that the ford wires dont cut it with the power....i'm going to go aftermarket and get the high performance plugs and wires...maybe they'll last longer...i'll let ya know

Just make sure it isn't a traction control issue. I have a manual transmission but there have been times when I've downshifted and hammered the gas and it would bog as if it lost traction for a second. The traction control warning would also appear on the display.
i hate traction control
