I'm a newb when it comes to these (literally have never seen one in person) and have a few questions.

1. How does the ice not clog up the outlet of the box?
2. Can you use antfreeze with these?
3. How are the IC lines routed? For example: on a saleen blower would the box go where the saleen resevoir was, or on the opposite side of the heat exchanger.

Thanks...

If the ice is big it won't go through the hose, if it does it will be small any ways, but no matter what it won't screw up your system.

If you don't plan to drain it to put ice in it while at the drag strip, then yes it's fine to use antifreeze. If it's a daily driver then you will want to use antifreeze.

As far as hooking it up it depends on what box you get. Mine is in the truck.

I wonder if anyone has tried a peltier cooler setup for cooling your IC fluid? Something you can turn on and off as needed.. ? In computer cooling, peltier doesn't work well because of moisture issues, but as long as you aren't dripping water onto the left or right side of the car, I don't see this as a problem..

The problem with ice is it usually isn't made from distilled water, only filtered water, so you will crud up your intercooler in short time with that crappy water. For a track only car, no biggie, especially if you drain after each day at the track and flush with distilled water..
