Not so much a boost of Challenger sales as a drop in Mustang. As we approach the S650 release, people who are leaning toward a Mustang in their future may put off the purchase to that release, resulting in the drop in sales we're seeing. Since the Challenger has not substantially changed since introduction, nor will before end of production, sales will likely remain relatively static and will probably hover around the ~50,000 unit average that it has been throughout the production run to date.

Coming from a completely different viewing angle, maybe ford needs to talk more during their contracts with the law enforcement agencies. I've noticed and heard challengers (and even magnums) being picked up because they get alot of facetime as the cruiser of choice after the crown vic (explorer's not so much, but why do you think the chevy suburban is a popular "hood" truck? The FBI drove suburbans)
Never underestimate the criminal element 🤣🤣🤣 as a buyer market.
Not saying ford should eye them in particular but that IS something to consider in the boardroom. Hell, the music industry does. And getting the same car as the police has been big since the early moonshiners

I just read on Fox that Mustang reclaimed the crown as #1 best selling Muscle car.
Yeah, I posted a thread on this a while back. Fox is slow to the table.
Mustang retains its sales crown for 2021 led by the pinnacle of 5.0-liter V8 performance, Mustang Mach 1, and the track-ready Mustang Shelby® GT500®, the most powerful street-legal Ford and most advanced Mustang ever.

I have a few friends that have bought these cars . For whatever reason none have kept them even 5 yrs ,Mustang owners tend to keep them longer ,sometimes for ever .Since chrysler sold to Mercedes in 99 ,then Fiat , now to some buying group in Europe . Most arent aware this has now Mercedes engineering & like any import car ,no electrical connectors are made for these car lines . At this point only Ford & Government Motors still make electrical connectors for their cars .I have the Charts for both GM & FORD with part numbers .I have replaced a number of Chrysler Hemis with Valve seats falling out of the head. Jasper has a video showing what they do to stop this from happening so they can put their famous 3yr 100,000 mile warranty parts & labor warranty nation wide. Super Gas 4027 427/484 FE
