okay. idk how this happened but i think it was a squirrel... not really lol. but okay

i stopped at a stop sign in the country and my car was running fine all morning. got tired of the cd i was listening to and switched it at the sign and my car popped... then my idle got real rough. i didnt know what to do so i turned it off and turned it back on. still rough idle... so i opened the hood and looked around. i didnt see anything but i smelled gas burning.. i turned it off once more and looked to my exhausts. boom there it was.

my spark plug wire disconnected itself and basically welded itself around my exhaust headers... gayest thing ever... lol

so my question is... what the hell made this happen? an also now i have a tick in my valvecover. so i'm guessing the plug detonated, shot off the wire and ruined my valves in cylinder 4.:so

and for the record my turbo is taken off. i have the original cai and exhaust system on the car now. i found a kid that wanted a turbo kit for his 96 so i sold it to him for a grand lol. i'm makin money all the time:bigthumbsup

jakksincorpse- At least you came up with a semi-creative way out of your lie... You are honestly one of the dumbest people I have ever had the pleasure of corresponding with... You knew that we all had called you out so now you came up with a lie about how you blew your engine... Where do you live that you can blow your engine in the morning and by the evening have made back the money by selling a non-existant turbo kit??? Never Never Land??? Do you get to hang out with the Lost Boys all the time??? I am jealous that you have such a vivid imagination though...

I wouldn't consider a grand for a turbo kit "making money" ....

Gotta love this guy. Your car committed suicide because it could not deal with the fact you own it. This is like a soap opera that never seems to end and a new twist with every day. I used to loathe seeing your name, now I just look forward to the free entertainment as to what new load of BS you can cook up.

k i bought the turbo kit for less. and sold it for more. i think i made money or my math might be backwards too idk.

and you think i'd make that up? uhm hello its a saturday night and i'm at home. doing nothing. i'm so freaking bored.

it was cylinder 6, not 4. my bad. idk how it happend. thats why i'm asking. but the wire is completely trashed. its like...i tried pulling it off the pipes and it was piecing off...

you guys gonna give input as to why it happened or just make fun of me all night cuz i really wanna know what might of caused it cuz i dont want it to happen again.

Detonation would make the spark plug blow out, but not shoot the wire off the plug.
what would have shot it off? cuz honeslty it was working fine for the first 20 mins i drove it...its too late now but i'll take off the plug tomorrow and check to see if there is anything wrong with it. ugh there goes my weekend..

Of the 2 choices, my son and I chose the latter option as well as most of the people in this forum. You have burned your bridges, so we will not help you.......

You seriously can't expect people to want to help you after all the lies, and stories you make up. I mean don't you have a friend who works at ford/nascar that laughs at us because WE don't know what we're talking about?

Why are you not asking HIM what's wrong.

where did nascar come from? and i'm asking cuz i havent talked to him yet.

lol finally i got new wires. got them away from the motor since the stock ones were resting on the valve covers and block and boom she runs like a champ=] not as fast with the turbo but its still fun=D

as to why that happened its still a mystery... we came up to 3 solutions tho.

1. it could have just been natural causes, road bumps ect.

2. my motor idles really rough an i might have let out the clutch too fast with too less gas cuz that makes my whole car shake iradically.

3. there was one thing we noticed in the connector part to the plug, it had a burned residue in it an it smelled like burnt rubber so something might of exploded but idk for sure.

i noticed there was no dielectric grease in the original plugs or it burned up so i bought some and gooped them mofo's with it lol.

well anyways the problem is fixed:bigthumbsup

as to that right there do any of your mustangs die when that happens? every manual i owned did an i think thats normal but for this car if falls down to like 400rpm you can still pick it back up an it wont die...

im guessing the reason the others died is because of an electrical thing. i've noticed this car is stripped of all the electrical except for the essentials. so why does this car do that?

on a side note where is the pcm? well where is it suppose to be cuz i've heard its in the engine bay but i cant find it for dear life.
