I bought a used 1997 mustang GT off craigslist and the car is in decent shape but the A/C does not work at all. I have tried to refill the A/C with the refrigerant but it won't work. Also all i can do is blow hot air in my car that is it. Does anyone know what could be wrong. Also there is no leak.

have a good A/C shop check it out, it might be alot of things like the compressor is just not working all the way to needing a new evaporator and system redo...good luck

Does the AC compressor clutch kick in at all?

Have you checked the fuses?

What happens when the low pressure switch is jumped?

Be careful with AC systems and Freon. Easy to hurt yourself.

OBTW, I have posted a ton of posts regarding trouble shooting AC and CCRM. Have you searched?

+1, can you hear it kick on or see the center of the compressor atleast turning? My compressor just crapped out on the Expy and I just changed it and the accumulator.
+1, def don't want to breath that stuff in. I took my in to be evac and when i took a line off, you could still smell a little of it and it almost takes your breath away.
