My baby got hit

Never thought I would get hit while pulling into a parking space....

What makes it worse is that a Honda hit me... :weeps

A few hangers broke on the exhaust, but I had my toolbox in my car so I made some new temporary hangers to keep it up and in place. The exhaust rattles like hell, but at least it's not hanging to the floor anymore.

I called her insurance company and they said that she called already and gave them a different story. They wouldn't tell me what she said, but the adjuster will be calling me tomorrow to take a look at my baby. When I first saw the damage, I almost threw up.

Did you call police and get police report? Take pics before any cars were moved? Those things will always help you if the "at fault" person decides to back peddle on you. Plus a good insurance company will take care of you and then go after the "at fault" person. They usually have deeper pockets and a closet full of lawyers.

I called the police, but they refused to come because it was on private property. They told me I could go to a police substation to fill out a form. I went there and it was simply a form to notify the department of transportation that I was involved in an accident. I am going to see what the insurance company says and then go from there. I have pictures of both cars before they were moved.

Damn bro i wonder how the honda ended up . Talk about adding insult to injury. I hope you get her fixed up bro.
If you were backing out, it's probably going to be your fault. :(

Sucks man! I know how you feel... That feeling you have now x 10 was me. :weeps

Let us know exactly what happened!

Maybe it's time for that Saleen rear bumper + new mufflers, huh? :hihi:

It's the weirdest situation I've been in because I was actually pulling into a spot when I got hit. The lady wasn't paying attention and hit me at full speed. She came out and was apologizing, but ended up getting all defensive when she saw the damage to my baby. She knew she had f-ed up big time :nogrinner

Ahh... Okay... :(

Well... I think she's gonna be a ***** and tell the insurance co. you just whipped out in front of her from nowhere... Most the time when you get hit, in the eyes of the law/insurance company, it's your fault. At least for me it was.

Good luck man, I hope things get figured out!

Any plans on a new rear bumper & exhaust yet? :scratchchin

The good news....It's fixable!!

Insurance companies SUCK to deal with!! I feel your pain!! My GT got side swiped last year! Did 3,000 in paint and body damage and $12,000 in suspension (all my aftermarket stuff had to be replcaed). I could hear the insurance adjuster gag when he got the price (it was the other guys fault)!! LOL

Just don't let them get you worked up. Thay also like to try to push you to settle quickly (because they know you need your car). Just hold your position. You'll be fine!:bigthumbsup

get video from the store/shop and a witness.
Time for that GT bumper cover!
That's exactly what I've been thinking!

Oh and good thing there was a witness. They have already spoke with the insurance company. The witness is 110% backing up my story. She saw the whole thing when she had walked out of the building.

I checked with the business and they don't have a camera set up outside. I do know someone who knows all the adjusters that work for geico here in my area, so hopefully I can get this straightened out.

It looks like the muffler outlet is actually bent along with the chrome tip. I'm wondering if the muffler will have to be replaced. Those flowmasters are starting to get on my nerves. Drone is too much for me now. I guess I'm just getting old :happyhapp
