Ok I need to fix these problems ASAP yet they just keep piling on,
1.first problem knocking noise coming from the air pump pulley I suspect bad bearing, how harmful is this problem?
2. My car is also sputtering when i accelerate and it feels like it's going to backfire however it's carbeurated so I think it might be that I need to clean my carb.
3. When I push the car a little there is the smell of gas however I think that is related to the sputtering problem, or possibly cats?

I'd appreciate it if you guys could help I'd like to be able to fix these problems if possible because i just dropped 900 on a new posi and installation because that went out as well.

Thanx for any answers or suggestions.

Problem #1 just bypass/remove the air pump unless you have to pass visual inspection. Then I guess you will have to replace it.
Rebuild the carb, the kits are really cheap and they are easy to install. It will pay for itself in fuel economy alone.

Thanx!

Thanx a ton for the info, I'm glad it's nothing major, and if I bypass the airpump I wont lose power or anything to that extent?
