yes you heard it, i just blew my motor on my 2000 GT. im not sure what happened just yet, but all i know is that my motor seized. my car was very well maintained so i really dont understand why it happened. the thing only had under 90K miles on it. anyway, i was wondering if anyone out there knew of any companies that manufactured high performance 281's for my car. i want more hp than stock, but at the same time i want it to be smog legal in CA and be able to plug into my factory wiring harness without any mods..if anyone out there knows of any reliable places PLEASE get back to me. i want to get my car back on the road ASAP...thank you

Sorry meant CHP, A buddy of mine got a built short block from them. He pit together a 5.1L shortblock from CHP, VT stage 2 heads, VT blower cams, and Reichard Racing intake, LT, and V2 sq put down 650 to the wheels.
Agree on VT engines & FoxLake Racing;
also look at www.stangparts.com, www.karkraft.com.
Not a big DSS fan.
I too say VT, thats what I'm running. Jim and Scott are super guys to deal with, they can help you get the right set up. I've got their sportsman forged short block with a couple extras. You might be waiting a little, I had to wait 4 weeks but I heard that increased. Still better the the 3 months Fox Lake told me.

If it makes you feel better I only got 14000 miles out of my stock engine.
