Just got this car in November. Love it so far, but the only thing is the damn MPG's... I got 13 mpg last full tank. Very disapointed but perhaps it was cause I was on the gas too much... So I am open to selling it unfortunately already. If I keep it though, Im putting in a 3.73 gear! :kooky:

Dude, Nice car! 13MPG Seems low unless its all town and your on the gas at each light.
Also, never by a Mustang for fuel milage. I have no idea what my Cobra gets or care, I use it as a toy, same as my F250, terrible milage but used for a work truck. My daily driver is a 08 Focus for long trips, but during the summer I always take the cobra anyway. lol.
I hate to say it but if you want good milage and decent power, you might have to go Jap. I never will, been Ford all my life, also like Dodge.
Google the new ,13 Focus ST. Thats in my wish list for a daily driver.:bigthumbsup

something is wrong, it should get 18 ish...unless you drive like a NASCAR driver everywhere you go, even then, 13 is too low, you sure you have the right numbers?

Ya I think it was 13 something... only like 150 miles to a tank. I'll have to go get the gas receipt in my car to know for sure but ya, like 13 mpg's!

Do you think it needs a tune? I am running a 3.08 rear end gear now.

the first thing I'd check is the o2 sensors, if they are not hooked up and working you will get those really bad MPGs...does the car have an off road exhaust H pipe?
Also set the trip odometer and check those numbers, around E you may have only used about 10 gallons since the tank only holds 15, so 10 X 18 = 180

I'll do another calculation when I can fill up. The car has a catted X pipe (BBK) O2 sensors should be working, no check engine light

I get about 220 miles a tank out of my 97 Cobra, while slightly heavy on the gas. Give your's a good tune up with air filter, fuel filter, plugs, etc.
