I just got new wheels and i hear and found the rubbing of the tires... I got 17x10.5's in the bak and 17x8 in the front it looks great but the rubbing sucks. My car is a 1996 gt and im thiniking a wheel spacer will solve this problem? what else can i do? and will a spacer work?

i have a 98 gt with 17x9 in the front with 255 40 17, which dont really rub. in the rear i have 10.5x17 with 315 35 17 which would rub against the inner fender when the drivers side of the axle would do up( like speed bumps at an angle). but i took the wheel off and saw where it was rubbing hit the inner fender in a little bit. now i have never heard it rub since. wheel spacers might be a better way to go but then your wheels will stick out that much more. hope that kinda answers your question.

Sounds like you may have gotten wheels with wrong backspacing. Take one off and check to see, I think spacers will only make it worse.
