MyColor gauges stopped working?

I was driving along today when my guages suddenly changed from blue to white and I lost all ability to change colors. The ambient light can still change and the gauges still function properly. Any ideas?

The gauges are sensitive to light. If it's even remotely sunny outside then it will change to white. When mine did that I went and asked the guys at Ford and that is what I was told.

Yeah, gauges only light up when your lights are on. At least that is the way it is configured for Canadian vehicles.
So........New car eh?:gringreen
This is the best thread ever. LMAO.

The color lights only come on when it is dark outside or you are in a tunnel.

You can place a little piece of electrical tape over the sensor and they will stay on all the time.
Put a copy of "THE BEE GEES PRESENT DISCO LIVES" in the Shaker. That will automaticaly start the light show again.:gringreen
Yeah I had my lights on. It was about 4am and completely dark outside. The lights were also on, not in the auto setting.
Well if the lights were, in fact, ON and your gauges changed like that on you, it is possible you need to take it in to get looked at. If it's under warranty, don't worry about it and let them figure it out and fix it, if there actually is something broken.
