i have a 1968 mustang and the emeergeny switch broke off the sterring column. i was like to big deal ill just replace it. well when i got to Cjponyparts.com and looked it up the switch it was suposed to have is this one below.
the switch i need doesnt look like that at all. the one i need looks like this and i cant find it anywhere.

The piece you show is the knob that you pull to start the flashers. It screws into a switch that is part of the turn signal switch assembly. There is also a black plastic bezel that the knob pokes thru. Mustangs Unlimited has all 3, but they are not cheap.

You need to post some photos. Both of these seem to be the correct items for a '68. Have you taken the steering wheel off and actually looked at the switch?

You need to post a pic of the switch, since all you have shown is the knob. Also look closely at the switch for any numbers if it is a ford part it should have some or all of the ford engineering part number on it somewhere. which should help. Good Luck.
