After a record setting winter - finally got some runs in this past Sunday - Except for a lot of puddles which made a good burnout very important (found this out on the first run gee!!!) the air was great with a DA in the 200 -
Most runs in the low 12's and trapping between 115 and 120. High trap number due to rookie 60ft times of 2.0 or worse - fix the driver launch mod and will be 11/'s all day which was my goal when I started this project 2 years ago -
See you all at the track look for the black mustang and the white BMW (wifes car she kicks my a-- bracket racing every time)

I'm thinking about heading up there tomorrow. I've never raced, as I still need to pick up a helmet. Since it would be my first time racing, I'm not sure I'd even make it below 14 seconds to need the helmet.

Whether I race or not, I'll probably be there. I'll be the other black 2014 GT with the American Muscle GT500 replica wheels.

Well now I'm really confused. Their website is pretty much garbage. The events calendar shows today as "Open Race" test and tune day, but lists "Central Mass Drag Racers" and "Street Fighter".

They also don't list times anywhere, so I don't know if I should have shown up at 9 AM, or if gates open at 5 PM. I don't know what to think. And when I called, the message said they're closed until Monday.

So maybe I won't be there after all!

they have events on every weekend - but unless it is a national event they always some time alloted for test and tune - however I would recommend street night weds or fri as the best bet for testing

I ended up going around 1 PM, and found out they had been running since 9 AM. Good to know for the future. And funny story, the friend I brought with me sounds like she knows (or maybe it's works with?) your wife. She was telling me about how someone goes to NED all the time in her white BMW, and I'm like...wait a minute...that sounds familiar! Then she said her husband drives a black GT/CS, and then I connected the dots. Small world (assuming there isn't another couple just like that in the area).!

It was a REALLY fun day! The car is stock except for the wheels/tires & Borla mufflers, and only got a few runs in because I felt guilty leaving my friend in the stands by herself. Also, since it was my first time ever, I was pretty nervous about the whole ordeal, and didn't want to embarrass myself. TC definitely stayed on the whole time.

Best was the last run of 13.267 @ 108.75. R/T was horrible, with best at .4 and worst at .6 (ouch). Definitely have to get used to starting the launch when the last yellow lights up. It didn't help that I had a total lapse of memory and I filled my gas tank up last night. But all in all, I'm very happy with my first time out. I'm a generously proportioned fellow, so a 13.267 with a full tank of gas put a smile on my face - I was not expecting that.

I think a couple friends of mine are heading up next Friday. If they do go, I'll likely tag along. Can't wait!

I brought my 85 gt up on friday night to try it out. R/T was beyond horrible at .86. My best run was 15.88 @ 89.5. I need to figure it out and practice. It was my first time on the strip but I had fun looking like an a** that didn't know how to drive! I will be going again next chance I get. My car has all stock control arms and quad shocks (both junk) that probably had a big deal of my bogus times.:crying:http://www.allfordmustangs.com//www.pinterest.com/pin/create/extension/
