I have a 1998 3.8 automatic, and would like to convert it to either a cobra or put a police interceptor package in it. Just curious how much of a pain this will be and what im gonna run into cost wise..

A boat load of cash and a donor car and a boat load of patience. Seriously,You can do it,but it is alot of work. I have read a few stories in various mustang mags about this type of swap and all say it was a long and detailed operation. Some things to ask yourself are: do you have the experience,knowledge,money, patience,help,shop area,and time? Another question: is it cheaper to buy the type of car you want? Answer these questions and get busy. It will be great no matter which way you go. Good luck and hope this helps. Also search the past post and see if anyone here posted there story.
