Need advice on my car after sitting too long

Hi
Need help I've had my mustang 2005 gt sat for around 6 months with no use and prob 6 months hardly any use before this 6.
I'm curious what would you guys do to help it out after being sat for so long.
Is it bad for it really?
I'm thinking usual service but should there be more.
Thanks

A lot of my friends deploy a year at a time and come home and fire their car right up without any problems, maybe just juice up the battery first, give it an oil change and fill with fresh gas. I am lucky to have my wife do it for me, but next deployment if my wife forgets to start the car every once and a while I'm not too worried.

I would also pull the fuel pump relay out, and crank the car over for about 20-30 seconds and get some oil pressure first, then replace it and start it normally
Go filler up, unless already full and drive it. Mine goes about 6mos. every year for winter. I just keep a battery matainer on it and come spring I pull off the cover and go. I can feel slight flat spots on tires from sitting, but gone in a mile or so.
take a tip from the 65' to 70' Mustang crowd....add Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer to the tank before storage.

i poured in the recommended amount every time i filled up, that way if the car sat for an extended period of time, i had nothing to worry about.
Before I left I changed the oil, filled her up, used some sta-bil, cleaned her up real good inside and out and tossed the cover on.

When I get back, i'm gonna charge the battery, wash the exterior, check tire pressure, have the oil changed and be on my way.
I detailed mine, used Stabil gas treatment, and gave it an oil change before I went on deployments. I would come back and start it up and take it to the dealer for an oil change and full inspection, never had a problem. I was told if you don't use a gas treatment like stablil the fuel system could have issues later due to water in the fuel. Keeps it from gumming up and rusting.
