i have been thinking about adding just a little black to the grabber blue. i just feel it needs a little something else. i like the stripes on the MCA editions and wonder what ya'll think about it on my 2012 GT. should i do that and put these stipes on the hood too or leave the hood stripes off?also should i do matte black or gloss black stripes. thanks for all opinions.

man, I think it looks great just like it is but what you like is what matters. I've been thinking of removing the stripes off mine.

is the stripe you show the same as the GT would have came with originally? I see "tape stripe delete" on just about every GT window sticker. a member here added some stripes that fade, sort of like the GT/CS did, that looked pretty cool too.

good luck with the stripes.:bigthumbsup

my wife thinks i need to leave it alone too. i agree, mine came with the tape stripe delete too. no it is the stripe that would come with the 2011 mca v6 mustang.
Less is more in my opinion. I like the clean (no stripes) look; when I think about stripes, I think about Shelby.
I like the black stripes, but I would go with a semi-gloss/ satin finish.
Well if you I like boss style stripes I think they look awesome. If you want to remove the side stripes on there make it look like mine il post pic in a min
I saw a fella here in town that had added the fade type stripe on his grabber blue 2011 . it was straight and in line with the 5.O on the fender but stopped just before it. what I didn't notice till I got right up on it was there was a black (matching) 2" side molding inside the 3" or so stripe. it was almost invisible up close and he said he didn't have to worry about door dings as much.. good idea but since I see him fairly often I didn't want to steal his idea.

if you put stripes on, you can always change them out of take them back off easily enough, so give it a try.:bigthumbsup

Grabber Blue looks best clean, IMO.

^^ This. There are a couple-few stripe designs that are either so well done, or have been around so long, or both, that they simply cannot look wrong. The LeMans stripes Ford puts on the GT500s is one such design. The Rally stripes Chevy used on their late '60s/early '70s muscle cars is another. Some of the Mopar stripes from that same era were okay, too. But pretty much everything else ... meh.

wow great stuff keep em coming
There is a local Grabber Blue GT I see semi-regularly. No stripes or decals, just a good coat of wax. It looks jaw-droppingly amazing.

I think the GB makes such a statement it needs nothing.
I am also in the same boat. I kinda like the white stripe on GB like the Shelby's but my rim and roush front, side & rear splitters are all black. I might go with a small black stripe like the RS3 Roush.

I avoided the white stripe (or any stripe for that matter) for 4 reasons:

1) Wanted that clean look.

2) Didn't want to look like a boyracer on my way to school everyday.

3) Didn't want to pose as a Shelby.

4) Didn't want to deal with them 10 years down the line.

True, I like the clean look also, however I like the Roush RS3 side stripe a lot, they are simple yet cool looking. Still stripes are not my priorities yet.

Whenever you put them on let me know cause I'm thinking to get the GT500 AB as well if my Outlaws are too loud.

Love my GT 500 AB. Nice low growl and accel with no drone & not too loud.

I've been lazy so far but one day I'll get around to getting a flat black hood decal (Boss) for the power dome. I saw a GB with white Shelby stripes along with reverse C's on the sides. Way too much imo.

Boy. I never thought I would be second guessing myself but I may just leave it alone. If I put them on and don't like them then I am out $200 bucks I could have used to my other stuff.
There is a Grabber Blue 2010 GT up where I work with dual white racing stripes(look like 10" stripes) and holy $hit is it beautiful!

Will do!

I know I'm just going to answer my question when I install them, but are they significantly louder than stock?

Scale of 1/10 would be appreciated! :bigthumbsup
