Does anyone know of a cheap upgrade for the foxbody brakes?

Not sure if this is within your budget. Cheap being a relative term. Check out these links. Some pretty good info. I used most of these tips to get me going.

79-93 4 Lug Ford Fox Body Mustang Brake Upgrade

Mustang Brake Conversion SN95Brakes.com

For the front:

I upgraded to the SVO 73mm Calipers. These sell at performance shops for $140 each. Using the advise from the link, about $30 at Checker Auto with a core.

SVO master Cylinder also from a local retailer.

Modified the proportioning valve.

Caliper sleeves and stainless brake hoses from Maximum Motorsports :: The Leader In Mustang Performance Suspension

Powerslot rotors and Hawk HPS pads.

The rear:

SSBC rear disc conversion. (Not a cheap option.)

What's the intended use?
Turbo Coupe rear. They have disk brakes, and bolt right in. 5speeds had 3.55 gears, autos had 3.73 gears...nice way to put on rear disks, and gears all in one shot
My buddy just picked up a 91 coupe, all original. Since he had other things to replace on the car, he could only afford to replace his original rubber bushings with the stainless steel units in his front calipers and installed a set of Hawk pads.

Since I'm getting ready to do the SVO upgrade to mine, he wanted me to take his for a spin. Man what a difference with just the pads and bushings.

I'd go with all these things, all great ideas.
The only problem with the Turbo Coupe rear is that it's about 3/4" wider per side than the Mustang rear, so you will have to run offset wheels to compensate. Also, I think the e-brake cable is a little different and will need to be modified, and the brackets for the quad shocks will be off (which isn't a problem if you don't plan on using them).

Does anyone know if you can swap the rear disc brakes from turbo coupe (ive heard super coupe also?) onto the 8.8 that you already have? I don't need a whole new rear end, I just rebuilt it.

this is the same dimension as the SN95 rear end. it uses the same housing, but the axles are .75 inches longer per side. this makes for a perfect wheel fit ment in relation to the rear fender well.

turbo coupe yes if you want to retain 4 lug. just use the calipers, axles and associated brackets that bolt to the housing. Super coupe is out of the question, that is unless you want to run IRS.

Yes you can. BUT, the lug pattern is differant between the Mustang and the T-Bird. You'll need to redrill the T-Bird rotors to fit the Mustang axles and wheels. Not a big deal, though. Just something to keep in mind.
