Need Help! Just bought my first Mustang but only running 15.9's at the track?

I have just bought my first mustang. it is a 1983 carburated 302 auto,it has a edelbrock intake man.,shift kit hurst shifter,holley 650 carb. it ran [email protected] the track was 97 and humid everyone says its not that bad but some stock hondas can get that! please help:help:

i have a edelbrock cam and 373 gears and 3200 stall converter in my closet will these help?
