Hi guys and gals
I have 1999 GT with a small oil leak at the front of the drivers side headgasket.I believe it is coming from the high pressure oil feed area. After checking into this I found it is a known problem.

I know my luck The article says there is a special service only head gasket that has different sealing properties available.Current part number is 4C2Z6051AA.I want to pull the head and install but cant find the gasket anywhere.I am afraid to call my dealer.I know he will want both an arm and a leg for this one.Nobody I talk to seems to know if any after market gaskets meet these properties. The only place on the web I see that offers it is Steeda.CA.They want 200.00 for one gasket.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just called my local Ford dealer with that part number, and he said without my discount it was $126.14, so everyone should be able to get it for that price from Ford.

Some dealers try to mark up prices, but if you say another dealer gave you that price, you'd be surprised how quickly they'll change the price for you.

headgaskets

I can get fel-pro gaskets for half the price but no one seems to know if they have been revised to meet the oem sealing qualities for this application.also I need to know if this is a special gasket or the new oem for all apps. MIKE:scratchchin

They listed it as a special service gasket, not as standard.
