I Have a 160 mph speedo out of a 89 ssp in my 93 lx 5.0. the car has 4.10 gears, i am using a 20 tooth speedo gear at the moment. it reads way off. does anyone know what speedo gear i should use to fix this problem? i know the 87-89 cluster/speedo are different from the 90-93 but this one has been trimmed on the face to fit in the 90-93 cluster. has not been taken apart or tampered with. any help is greatly appreciated.

also the transmission is out of a 92 so it has the 8t gear. which should be the problem. being that the 89 car had a 7t gear. is there a speedo gear that can correct this or do i have to swap the drive gear?
