hows it going everyone, im new to this site and need some help. I recently purchased myself an 88' Mustang GT with new headers, Spark plug cables...and now im looking to put some work into the car myself, after attending the show in Worcester MA I was able to see many different GT set ups but I really need an opinion on what to do next to get this car moving

If power is what you are wanting. Then start with a full exhaust, larger MAF housing, Larger Throttle body, drop in K&N for your stock air box or a Cold Air Intake, Then advance your timing to 14 - 16 degrees. That will wake up your car real nice. Then if you want more start looking at a Head/Cam/Intake package or some boost.

Welcome to the club,

Now,

First, any owner needs to decide where they are headed (i mean headed, we never seem to finish :gringreen )

You want Handleing,
You want Power,
You want a driver,
You want a Racer,
Street, Drag, Road, Drift, Bla, Bla, Bla
You want one piece at a time,
You want sections at a time,
How much CAN you do yourself,
$200 at a time, or $2000 (or more)
Big Ghetto Wheels, Wide Wheels, Stock wheels, Narrowed rear?

Stock looking, Lowered, Good ride, fair ride, shake your liver ride? hehe

5 speed, auto?

302, 351, 501?

Turbo, Carb, Blower, N2o, trick in take, GT40

And so on, and so on, and so on,
I can go on for ever.

Exaust, intake, short shifter, and maybe a bigger radiator would be first no matter which way you decide to go.
