Most people swap to a MAf setup. Mainly for major mods. You can get bigger inj just about anywhere. There is no need unless you are running 300hp or more. You cannot run without a t stat.

hey guys i got a few questions today
1. are there any aftermarket injectors available for and 84 5.0 ho motor
2. if so where can they be found or are they strictly dealer item
3.is it ok to run without a thermostat
4.and also is there any way to get rid of the map sensor and the car still run normal

This that a CFI car, if so no to the injectors, pretty sure it only utilizes onehey guys i got a few questions today

The auto's came with CFI, less power than the 5.0 4V 165 compared to 175I thought 84 were carbureted?
why wouldnt you run a t stat. 1)it wouldnt work. 2)they are like 5 bucks
i thought only 85s had the auto come with cfi? and all 84's were carbed? let me find the book lol
nope he's right lol the 84 autos were cfi, and i dont know of any aftermarket injectors, if you want to go bigger go with a carb as far as i know pretty basic swap
