Goin rate here is 200-300. Most shops are 250.
man, o lost track of all my old contacts i had in mich, but alot of them are gone now. there was a ramchargers speed shop in allen park. right up the road from one of the roush buildings i used to work at. you could call them and ask whos good around there with gears. any place around canton/novi/livonia is gonna rape you. there were alot of serious race shops east side of detroit, down river area. i grew up at plymouth rd and beach daily and spent every weekend racing on telegraph in the 70`s. there used to be alot of shops up and down telegraph too. keep lookin :so theres a bunch of detroit guys on the forums, maybe give you some help. "go wings!!!"well im not doing it myself, but i went out looking for a shop to install them today, and the cheapest i could find was $500!!!! i need to know if this is what i should expect, or am i gettin boned here? 05horse has a guy down in ohio that will do it for 300 bucks, but thats 200 miles and 3 hours away! i really need to find a shop around me that will do it for 400 or less
Hey Silver, I took my '08 to Livernois down in Dearborn and had them install my 4.10's for $600, including everything and Royal Purple. Not one bit of noise or problems in a year's worth of "spirited" driving.:bigthumbsup I would rather pay a little more now and know it's done the right way by professionals instead of skimping on it and having problems down the road... don't cut corners on the gear install!! Ever hear or think about joining MOCSEM(Mustang Owners Club of South Eastern Michigan)??

Yes, that was for everything, parts and labor.i hope they included bearings gears and a t loc for 600 or was that just for install?
I sent him a pm for a mechanic close to me (not too far from him) who has done numerous gear installs and runs a car at milan dragway. I use him for work on my vehicles and am very happy with the results. His rate is $70.00 an hour which I think is reasonable.
Now the question is, how long does it normally take for a gear install :scratchchin
Sent you a PM. He is only about 15 minutes from Bellveville, 5 minutes from me. :gringreenOh yeah, I forgot you were close by too Pc! Does this guy have a shop around here (I'm in Belleville)? $70 an hr. isn't too bad, someone who knows what they're doing shouldn't take no more than 4 hrs. on gears.
Got it Pc, thanx!:bigthumbsupSent you a PM. He is only about 15 minutes from Bellveville, 5 minutes from me. :gringreen
If I ever get around to it, he will be the one installing the UDP's that I bought from stlwagon.
