I bought a pair of 1399# non emission AFR 165 heads off a guy locally and need to know the stud size for the rockers and also bolt size of the heads. AFR's website is currently down.. again.

I have Comp Cams pro magnum roller rockers which have 7/16" nuts for the rockers and the rocker nuts are larger than the studs. Is there any studs I can purchase that will screw into the heads and also accommodate the 7/16 rockers? :headscratch:

Lastly, I heard the non emission heads use a 1/2" bolt size where as the others use 7/16, Is this true? If so, what bolts am I looking for to attach to a 302 block? :headscratch:

Thanks guys, I tried searching but didn't find specifically what I was looking for.

you need 7/16 head bolts for the 302.
i would also recommend the stud kit from arp for your rocker arms.

Those Street/Strip Outlaw 165's use a 1/2 inch bolt hole. You'll have to use some head bolt bushings from TFS, Edelbrock, ARP or AFR. AFR's part number is #6324. Then you'll use standard 302 bolts or studs from the makers of your choice.

You can get some ARP rocker studs, standard ARP studs will work.
