Here's a rundown so far. Engine starts with starter fluid, cuts off when fluid burns off. Fuel pump never stops priming. Have 40lbs. fuel pressure. I've pulled out the eec-iv/ecm/ecu/pcm whichever term you prefer, I did not find any evidence of leaking capacitors, not finding leaking caps. I know doesn't mean I don't have a bad puter. So does anyone know of any way to confirm puter is bad? is there a device that I can hook up to it and then connect to my laptop to check condition of puter? or is there a company or type of company I might find locally to me to take my puter and have them check it? Obvioulsy I don't enjoy the idea of going through the expense of buying a new puter but right now I'd like to have an answer that will remedy this problem whether it's cheap or expensive doesn't matter now I just want my car running again. I read that the eec-iv relay is over the puter. but I can't tell, hard to see in that area. I have to try and squeeze my hand up here and feel for it. If I can't feel it, then where might it be? I found a bunch of things plugged in around it, I'm thinking it might be one of them, it would help if I knew what it looks like. Is there anywhere I can see pics of the relay and is there anywhere I can see pics of the caps and how they look leaking?

Borrow one from a known running vehicle if your car starts the car then you know its the eec......
i would borrow one if i knew someone with another 93 cobra.
You dont need the cobra comp just to see if it will start. probably the ecm if the inj arent firing.
Spd. I think you're trying to tell me the ecm (puter) is probably bad if the inj. aren't firing (pulsing) am I correct? If the injectors aren't pulsing is it only the puter that can be bad? would be great if that were finally the answer, cause then I know what to do.

Have you pulled codes yet.....:?:
when this all started I tried getting codes from eng. light but nothing happend when I tried, so I gave up on that and now since I've had the batt. disconnected for a while I'm not likely to get any now.
If the injectors aren't getting power, I would have to say computer.

It could be wiring, or a connector, but chances are it isn't unless it's had a hard life, or been exposed to rodents.
I'm inclined to think it's the puter too, but I'd like to know for sure before I spend a few hundred bucks and then it doesn't resolve the problem or worse yet I don't know if I have a bad new puter.
