I have the stock 4 speaker setup on 08 GT. Do I do a 6.5" component setup or just upgrade the 5x7 or 6x8 speakers in there already? Also where do they mount the tweeters on the Shaker speaker setup?

I am upgrading the factory 6x8 plates in the front as soon as I have enough free time to do so. I already have the speakers purchased, now I just need a good day to ensure that I can run to the store to purchase any additional stuff that I may need to complete the install.

I purchased 2 pairs of Infinity Kappa 682.7 cf 2 way speakers for my 2006 GT. Replacing the rear deck speakers took about 15 minutes whereas replacing the door speakers will take significantly longer since I have a lot more to disassemble. Another factor is deciding where I am going to place the external crossover behind the door panel, which is where I want to put it.
