I have a 2004 GT Vert, with underdrive puleys, Mac CAI, Long tube headers, and prochamber. Just ordered 3.73 gears so they will be on shortly. Looking into getting a super charger in the next 2-3 years. I want to upgrade my engine now though. ive been looking at PI heads and cams but really have no idea what i am looking at. I see alot of stuff but really dont know what is going to last me. My car is a daily driver, but I like to drive it pretty hard. Is there anything else that can add horse power now before I add the supercharger?

If your getting a supercharger down the road then you don't need heads and cams to reach the limit of the stock short block, which is about 400 rwhp. If your looking at spending all that cash on heads/cams you may as well look at rotating assemblies so you can really crank up the boost when the time comes. The stock crank will do OK, but a forged Cobra one would be nice. The rods and pistons are crap and are the limiting factor. Maybe you could just buy a built short or long block and swap them over a weekend and sell your stocker. All the little bolt on crap is a waste of money with minimal gains, just save your loot for the supercharger.
I'm with dollarbill: I have a P1-SC-1 w/ 10 p.s.i. of boost but I'm limited in safely upgrading further until I get engine changes made.
what is the difference between the short and long blocks? will i need to make anymore modifications when changing it out. Any suggestions on blocks to get?
A "short block" is block, crank, rods, and pistons assembled. A "long block" is a short block with heads on it and maybe an oil pan and/or front cover etc. A long block is more complete and more of the work is done for you.
sweet!!!!thanks for the help
Look into DSS or MMR blocks. Im looking into doin one myself in the near future.
Drop it with Eibach springs. It will take that 4 x 4 look away from the car. I dropped my 2002 vert, and it made a huge visual difference (of course, it took away from ride comfort).
