Alright here it goes, I just recently finished college just found a good job I should say. That doesnt matter... I need help on making numbers for an 87-93 gt mustang. Between those years which is the best to buy? And also I do play on getting 4 bolt main 347 stroker for it, T-56, not sure for 8.8 inch rear end or 9 inch, that is where yall come in, I am looking to make at least 500rwhp on the motor, and the throwing a turbo or twin turbo kit on there to make it around 700-800 rwhp and spool of around 3000-3500 . Now I need reccommendations on suspension, and also should I put a nitrous kit in it? I know boost and nos is a big NO NO!! But I won't use that unless I am at the track. This will be a "weekend car" not a daily driver. So I wanna learn teach me
Ditto what Meangreen said, make the most out of what you have to begin with. All the hp in the world doesent matter if you can't use it.
Just my .02 but that sounds like a lot of hp for a street/weekender, but a 347, counting its built right is a good starting point. I don't know what you're looking at as far a the 347, (kit or long block?) but more inches are always good. Have you thought about a 351w? Stroked to 408 maybe? It'd cost more, especially with the extra parts, but it'd be a little less stress on the block, etc....
As for the suspension, lots of choices, but as a rule stickwith the bigger more experienced companys (i.e. Saleen, steeda, FMS, etc.). If you're not planning lots of quarter miles, and more handling, I'd say go for a progressive spring, subframes either way, maybe a k-member brace and underhood brace just for extra solidity.
As for nitrous, I don't trust it, but if you're going to go for the power adder, just plan the motor to handle it, and tune the hell out of it, be it turbo, n20 or a blower.
