im thinking of getting a new upgrade on the stang!
im debating between the TB or the delete plates, ive heard a lot of negative things for the TB so that is why im not so sure.
can somebody give me some feedback on the TB.
maybe someone that already has one and regrets it, or the other way around, they loved it!
both of those upgrades go for the same amount of money so price doesnt matter!!
any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks!!

Forget the throttle body and go with the delete plates. Just get a tune for them.

The TB isn't really going to do much for you while you are N/A. The CMCV delete plates won't do much either unless you have a new intake, cams, and/or P&P heads. If you really want them, pull the intake off and gut the factory plates and at the same time port-match the intake. Its free and you'll get the same effect. I'd save up and put something better in there if it were me! I almost bought myself a new TB the other day and then I cam back to my senses.:heha:

Please explain???
The bottom of the intake port holes won't be exactly the same size as the holes that will be created by removing the flaps and some material off of the factory plates so you can make them larger (match) them to the new size by removing some intake material. You can do the same thing with the heads and a die-grinder. Same concept. I guess I could have explained originally instead of assumed he would know what I was talking about. My bad :)

how did you grind (remove the material) from the intake manifold!?

A dremel tool! You just make the holes bigger. Obviously you can't go too big. You make the holes on the plates bigger too. And let me make this clear: I haven't done this. However I have been thinking about doing it when I go to tear into my engine.

Unless the ports on the heads are also enlarged to mach that won't do a whole lot. Might smooth the airflow a bit but doubt it would do anything for performance.

I agree; maybe a couple hp. If you want to squeeze every last bit of horsepower out of the engine...That's why you would do all of the aforementioned. While you have the intake out and are gutting the CMCV plates, why not? Same deal with taking your heads or your TB off. P&P and the things if you know what you are doing.
