hey guys hows it goin! heres my issue i have that new 306 running and all im shure u mabey seen the video i posted ! now heres the issue it was runing slightly rich . i went to do the eec self test with a test light and i hooked up the jumper and all and the went to start the car and it started better than ever reved up for a sec then went to a idle then to a stumbleing idle and reved up again and than back to a smooth idle!! what the hay why would it run better with the sti jumper hooked up! it boggles my mind the car dosent have the air system anymore and i eliminated egr and the tab/tad silinoids and left the conectors there its a 1987 gt with the a9L and its runing a 70mm cobra mass air and 19pd injectors. any ideas would rock!

here are the codes i got with the koeo test #12 IAC #21 Engine temp out of range #41+#91- engine lean mix... what would cause it to say all this? and why does it smell rich when it says its runing lean? my o2s are hooked up it dosent make sense. they are all brand new too!!

first a cobra mass air meter is calibrated for 24lb injectors that is one problem you have. when you say that your car runs better when you have the test connectors jumped, that leads me to suggest that you have a ground issue somewhere on your car. Check all your grounds from the computer to your battery and make sure the resistance is less than 0.5 ohms.

I agree, if it's a Cobra mass air, it's meant for use with 24 pound injectors so that's a mismatch.
The codes might be caused by the mismatch, the computer is thinking it has 24's but it has 19's and would cause it to be rich (the 19's are getting input meant for 24's) but is running lean (it's expecting 24 pound input but getting back 19 pound flow).

ok ill try to find ither a regular mass air or the 24pd injectors i think i had what was a set of 24pd injectors in it before and it still was runing slighty rich if not richer... couldent it be because the temp sensor is not working?
