That was probably a faulty check valve in the pump. And yeah that pump should hold you for a while.It was all dried up dirt. When I cleaned everything off the tank looked brand new. Before the install I could run the car, turn it off, look at the fuel pressure gauge and it would rear 0. Now I do the same thing and the lines are still pressurized.
One thing Ive learned by working on numerous type of cars is, the gas tank never gets cleaned, so everytime you mess with one, it a dirty project.what is that all over the top of the gas tank.....:headscratch:
