Will anyone be running in this class? Looking at the rules I'm assuming a stock block is required (No Teksid, Terminator, or Ford GT blocks) Same goes for Transmission (No TKO600). I will attempt to get a clarification on this.

REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS
ENGINE


ENGINE
Any 2005-2006 Ford Mustang OEM V-8 or V-6 power plant permitted. Any engine modifications permitted.

ENGINE SETBACK
Not permitted.

EXHAUST SYSTEM
Shorty, mid-length or long tube style headers permitted. Mufflers required. Exhaust must exit past the back of the doors.

FUEL
Any FFW approved fuel permitted.

FUEL SYSTEM
OEM fuel tank required. Fuel cell prohibited.

NITROUS OXIDE
Properly mounted nitrous oxide system permitted on any vehicle.

SUPERCHARGERS / TURBOCHARGERS
Single or dual superchargers or turbochargers permitted.


DRIVE TRAIN

CLUTCH, TRANSMISSION, REAR END
Any 2005-2006 OEM drive train permitted. Internal modifications permitted. Any clutch assembly permitted. 2005-2006 Mustang OEM rear axle housing required.


BRAKES & SUSPENSION

BRAKES
Aftermarket four wheel brakes permitted.

STEERING
2005-2006 Mustang OEM power steering system required and must be operational. Power steering belt must be connected at all times.

SUSPENSION
OEM or aftermarket suspension system required. Aftermarket struts, shocks or springs permitted. Coil-over rear shocks prohibited. Coil-over front struts permitted. OEM rear attachment points on chassis and rear axle housing must be maintained. Upper or lower trailing arms may be modified, changed or strengthened, per approval of FFW tech officials. Solid mounted suspension prohibited.


FRAME

BALLAST
Permitted. Must be properly mounted.

FRAME
Unmodified OEM 2005-2006 Mustang front and rear sub-frames required. Sub-frame connectors permitted.


TIRES & WHEELS

TIRES & WHEELS
Any tires or wheels permitted. Rear tires must be DOT radial tires and fit inside of stock, unaltered rear wheel wells. Inner fender lip may be rolled to protect rear tire sidewalls but not trimmed or removed.


INTERIOR

UPHOLSTERY
Full interior required including rear seats, dash, console and carpet. Front seats (2 required) may be exchanged for aftermarket seats. Rear seats may be deleted only for roll bar clearance.


BODY

BODY
Must be a 2005-2006 (S197) Ford Mustang. Other than a lightweight hood (max four (4) inch cowl permitted), all other body panels must be OEM or approved by FFW tech officials.

DOORS
Must have fully functional doors and must be operable from inside and outside.

FIREWALL / ENGINE COMPARTMENT
OEM firewall and engine compartment required.

FLOOR
OEM floor required.

SPOILERS
Aftermarket spoilers permitted.

STREET EQUIPMENT
Working headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals and windshield wipers (including wiper blades) required. All participating vehicles must have a valid state license and registration.

WINDSHIELD / WINDOWS
OEM glass windshield and door windows required, must be clear or no darker than factory OEM tint. Contingency decals not permitted on door windows.


ELECTRICAL

BATTERY
Rear mounted battery permitted.

DEAY BOXES / DEVICES
Any device that aids in achieving a pre-arranged or programmed elapsed time, or starting line aid, or timer device, or stutter box is prohibited and must be disconnected during eliminations. Trans brake prohibited. Foot brake class only. Any EFI engine management system permitted.


SUPPORT GROUP

FIRE EXTINGUISHER SYSTEM
Recommended.

TOW VEHICLES
Not permitted.


DRIVER

CREDENTIALS
MUST MEET HOST TRACK'S SANCTIONING BODY (NHRA / IHRA) REQUIREMENTS. Permanent FFW numbers required.

DRIVER
Must be on left side of vehicle in conventional location. All applicable safety equipment required.

SANCTIONING BODY RULEBOOKS
All participants must be familiar with and abide by all rules, regulations and procedures defined in the appropriate sanctioning body's Official Rulebooks affiliated with the host track (IHRA or NHRA), and also any and all applicable SFI Specs, which are made part of the Rulebook.


WEIGHTS / DISPLACEMENTS

No minimum weight requirements.
