Hi I am a new girl to the site, I have a 2005 white Mustang convertible. I have had it for a year now and was experiencing the battery dying, replaced that, all was well. But now today I am getting a CD Error!!!! It seems by reading som of the posts all the issues are because of the Shaker 500??? I unplugged the battery for about 20 min and then re-attched it and am still getting the same problem. So I decided to join this site to hopefuly seach more and find an answer to my probelm.

CD's are almost obsolete... get yourself an ipod and forget those CD woes! I have an iTrip FM transmitter to play it through the radio - not as good as hardwiring it through an auxiliary port, but still better than changing CD's out every time you get bored of one. :bigthumbsup

I only played 1 cd in my Shaker 500 just to see that it worked. I listen to XM through the Shaker AUX and I had an iPod interface wired in as well so it all works with the Shaker display. Turns out I don't mess with any content CD, iPod or the jack in the center console. I just select an XM channel and forget it.
