Well, after scouring the internet and magazines, I've finally settled on the Agent 47 grille. It came today, and I can only say it's very well made. It isn't exactly what I want, however. I wanted something with a horizontal grille, like Dave Lewis did in my avatar. However, the grille is only attached with screws and Mr.Bodykit sells blank grille stock that I can cut to length and screw in place. If I do that, it'll be perfect. I've decided to see how I like the grille as it is for now. It may be fine as it is.
Installation was fairly simple. The hardest part was mounting the CDC tribar pony. It was designed to be attached to a much thicker grille, so it took a bit of work to get it mounted. I, of course, needed to trim it out with my signature chrome door trim around the grille. You know, that's the most mileage I've gotten out of a $6 mod. The trim I used was the leftovers from the first time I did it.
Gallery shots will come tomorrow. I may hit some of the radiator and such with some black grill paint. These were just quickie shots. The flash seems to highlight a lot of stuff you don't normally see.

I like it David... I'm guessing it's overpriced like much of their stuff??
Pretty much. $246 for the grille including shipping, plus $47 for the CDC pony. I thought $9 for shipping that pony was a bit much from CDC. That's part of the reason I'm holding off on the billet grille. That's another $100. Totaling about $400 for a grille. Even I have to admit that's a bit nuts.

That is the best looking grille I've seen yet on an S197. 1000% better than stock.

Grille looks great.

Do they have the same grille pattern to replace the bottom OEM grille above the chin spoiler?

Sweet ride, havent looked into a grill too much yet, is there any other place to mount the horns? like enough wiring, I like the grill and it may be the pic up close with the light, but I hate seeing em there<Why didnt Ford put em behind the front plate area instead?

Looks pretty good. I really want their lower grill replacement w/ the brake cooling ducts but they're so damned expensive!

It's possible they could be relocated. I'm going to pop the grille off today before I take the glamor shots and hit the grille, horns, and the hood latch support with some black grill paint. I was surprised myself when looking at the pictures at how much was visible. It really didn't look that way without the flash.
That's one of the reasons I wanted to use the billet grille instead of the mesh. I may still end up getting the billet grille. I wanted to see it in daylight before I made the decision.

OK, Glamor shot time.
I hit the hood latch support with some black paint, and relocated my lanyards for the hood pins so they're not so visible.
These were taken under natural daylight with a better camera.
I'm feeling better about the mesh now.

Wow. That looks awesome. I am blown away. I knew I liked the idea when I was drawing it, but it seems that the drawing does not do it justice. It looks fantastic. Well done, thoroughly impressed. It is looking more and more like a 69.

Wow David! I know I told you in the PM that the horizontal billet would look good but after looking at the outside pics, I think you should stick with that! :bigthumbsup

I definitely agree. The honeycomb mesh looks phenominal. I love this car! That grill really puts it over the top. I do not think the horizontal bars would have the same appeal as the nostalgic honeycomb
