i have a 1990 mustang 5.0, the number 1 injector is stuck open. i replaced the old injector because it was stuck open but it is doing the same thing with the new injector.
any suggestions on what my problem is and how to fix it. i've looked thru hundreds of forums and have not found anything that helps. thanks

It's possible that the new injector is defective. I'd take it back and exchange it for another one.

Put a test light on the electrical connector if the injector. Turn the key on and see if the light comes on.

Try turning the car over if its still doing it then I would guess faulty ECM.

the injector ground is switched through a "transistor" in the ECU. With the ignition on, check for voltage to the injector and on the EEC side - if there is no voltage on the EEC side, then the transistor has probably failed shorted and the injector is always on. The odds of two injectors failing in the same hole are pretty low.........
