I think it look pretty cool now. I think the scoop still bothers me a little bit now because its the only honeycomb thing that you see on front end (not too worried about side scoops) I might take the little black part out and do body work on it ( take it and fill holes with bondo or something like that sand it smooth and paint it black). Not sure how that will work on removing the black part, but who knows i am done for now with exterior.

Let me know what you guys think.

The grill delete was ordered through ford parts department, and the chin spoiler came from mustangtuning.com, and antenna i bought for 3 bucks from my friend who was trading his old V6 car.

Looks nice. Personally not a fan of grill delete in general, but that is just me. The chin spoiler looks great and I like the antenna. I have been wondering how a hood stripe like yours would look on a GT with the hood scoop. I have been considering a similar one from graphic-express, although the one I have looked at doesn't come down over the front bumper. It is a straight stripe with pinstripe surrounding, very similar to the style of the early 70's Mach 1 hood stripe, and ends rounded off at the front of the hood. The one I have in mind has GT cut out in the front corner.

UPR has polished metal pieces to replace the honeycomb in the hood scoop. They also sell polished metal replacements for the honeycomb in the side scoops. I considered them, but such brightwork would probably not look that great with my yellow paint. They would probably look pretty nice with your red, though, if you are interested in going that direction. Might be kind of a nice repetition of the design element created by the silver pony in the darkness of your deleted grill. At any rate, you have definitely made your Mustang an individual and put your personal signature on it, which is what it's all about.

Thanks, i have been told now evenly that it looks good and looked better before. My racing stripe is 10inch in thickness (obviously the thick one) and then it has a pin stripe on each side of the larder one. not sure thickness on t he pin stripes.

what do you mean about what a stripe like mine would look like ona GT with a scoop? i have a scoop lol =) you mean the recessed one ? not sure i understand.

I mean that yours is the first I have seen with a raised scoop that has that sort of stripe. In other words, I have wondered how that type of stripe/scoop would look and your pictures answered my question - it looks good!

Sweet! I have a grill delete for my 04 GT waiting to be put on. Let me ask you, did yours come with just the bottom filler panel and mount for the pony or did it also come with a top header panel thingy? Mine I bought for only 45 bucks from some store out of muscle mustangs magazine, can't remember exactly the company, but I onlt have the bottom fillet panel and the mount for the pony but I've seen other kits that are 100 bucks and have a top piece that I think goes by the hood latch but not sure since I don't have one. I the chin spoiler is sweet looking. I've been debating it but since my car is black I don't know if it'll show up or not. Again, nice looking car.

Hey, thanks.

My kit was bought from Ford, it came with the pony and the bracket to mount... and the bottom piece. I have heard of those 3piece set ups, but i dont know ... looks same from the out side. As for the chin spoiler... black might be a lil dark... but i dont know i have seen different things.

Here is a mach1 on ebay with the grill delete and chin spoiler obviously.... seems to look pretty nice

Looks GOOD! Nice job. I just got a grill delete too, but being the middle of snow season here (cold!) I haven't put it on yet.

You aren't thinking about removing the honeycomb completely from your scoop are you? I've heard of big problems with that -- namely the scoop coming clear off the hood at highway speed! The solid honeycomb is there to keep the air from getting under the scoop. Remember it's only held on with double-sided tape. I've toyed with the idea of using a dremel tool to make it small enough so it would set back into the scoop about another inch or so. That'd probably look good, without causing any problem. Haven't tried it yet though.

sweet01gt thanks for the pics. Your car looks really sweet. I'm definitly going to get a chin spoiler now to go with my grill delete. Thanks By the way, how did you get the old grill out. I kinda looked at it quickly and the screws in the bottom of the grill come up from the bottom and you can't get at them from underneath the car. How did you guys do it? Thanks again.

i just used a swivel head socket wrench and bent the bumper back/pulled back carefully and undid the screws.

Just be careful. lol

Ok thanks, one of those fudge it deals. Just as long as it can be done, i really don't feel like taking the bumper cover off. I have the stars and stripes pony which I think will look really good in the middle of no where with no honeycomb around it. Thanks again:worship

yeah, my Mach 1 grille was a b*tch to get in right, haha. Had to bend it back as well, with a small socket - that's what I used...
